'Amadeus' - Reggio Emilia and Reggiolo, Italy

This course is suitable for orchestral and choral conductors who would like to gain hands on experience working with choir and orchestra. We will primarily be looking at the music of Mozart that was performed in the 1984 cult film Amadeus, directed by Miloš Forman

Participants will have 2 evening classes with Luigi Pagliarini and Professor d'Alessio
Oct 15: Evening Workshop. Choral conducting theory and session with piano
Oct 16: Evening Workshop. Choral conducting theory and session with piano

Part 2 - London Conducting Workshop - Reggiolo
Oct 31: Participants will be working with piano
Nov 01: Sessions with Orchestra
Nov 02: Participants will lead a rehearsal with Orchestra, followed by a public performance

Please note it is not compulsory to attend both parts. Participants may apply to either part or both.

There is no application fee for this workshop

The workshop fee covers the following:

cost of musicians

The fee does not cover travel to Reggiolo, transport within Reggiolo, accommodation or food and drink during the course. Participants must provide their own scores and batons.

The tutors for this course will be Diana d'Alessio (Part 1), Luigi Pagliarini (Part 1 & 2), ​ John Farrer (Part2), and Luciano Acocella (Part 2)
