Frequently Asked Questions

The London Conducting Workshop has run courses since 2005 and in that time, we have held courses in London, Paris, Venice and Dublin.

We have taught conductors from around the world and at various stages in their development, from those at the start of their conducting training, to those at the start of their professional career.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why is there an application fee for your courses?
There are several reasons for charging an application fee. The main reason is that we often receive a high number of applications (this is good news!). Unfortunately, once an application is made, some applicants do not respond once they are offered a place. This puts us in a difficult position, as we have spent time processing their application. We may have delayed offering another person a place on our Workshop, during which time they might have decided to attend another masterclass. To ensure that we receive applications from people who are interested in persuing our Workshop, we charge the application fee.

2. How much podium time will I get?
We allow a maximum of 16 participants in our London Workshops. When we are at this maximum number, we can guarantee 20 minutes of podium time. Where there are fewer than 16 participants, any empty slots are divided evenly between the participants.
