Attentive class in Paris
25-28 January 2018
Conducting
Conducting
Our super Paris orchestra - Orchestre de Paris

Our course takes place in January over three and a half days in the Maison du Sept in the 11th arrondissement. This course is aimed principally at previous attendees of workshops taught by John, Howard and Neil, together with anybody who studies with them privately. This course is designed as a refresher to our existing courses.

The workshop fee covers the following:

  • all administration charges

  • all tuition

  • at least one session on the podium each day

The fee does not cover travel to Paris, transport within Paris, accommodation or food and drink during the course. As usual, participants must provide their own scores.

The format for this workshop follows that of our UK course in that there are two sessions per day, and each conductor has an allocated time on the podium for each work. The initial session is a check-up on baton technique, and the three subsequent days are working with a professional orchestra. The 2018 repertoire is: Bartok Divertimento for strings, Stravinsky Octet and Wagner Siegfried Idyll.
